Welcome to the PTA section.

A group of people including parents, teachers and friends of the school who help to organise events, both fundraising and social.

What are the aims of Richard Coates CE School PTFA?

To raise funds to buy things that will benefit the children, that the school could not otherwise afford; to organise social events for children, for parents and their friends; to foster community relationships at Richard Coates CE Primary School. Over the last few years we have raised funds to enable our children to attend the Shakespeare schools festival and buy our outdoor play equipment to use at breaks and lunchtimes; games for the pupils to enjoy during wet breaks in the classroom, resources to support the Young Sports Leaders; new books to support reading and providing refreshments at all our social events.

Who can belong to the PTFA?

Anyone who has children at the school or who works at the school can be a member of the PTFA.

Committee meetings are held roughly once every term in the evening, but you don’t need to be a member to help out. Come along to a meeting or school event to find out more. 

Be part of the PTFA team at Richard Coates CE School 

Being a member of the PTFA will give you lots of pleasure and enhance your family’s relationship with the school.  Mums and Dads, staff and friends all combine as individuals to form a friendly school community. Everyone is made welcome - it is never too late to get involved.  We are always on the lookout for new members with new and fresh ideas or helpers to run a stall at a fair or sports day for half an hour. Whatever time you can put in – it will be appreciated.
