This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader who shares our determination to
ensure that the children achieve their full potential and become creative and
independent thinkers with a love of learning.
You will be an established senior leader with a breadth of experience who is ready to
move into headship or is seeking another headship challenge. You will be someone who
understands and is ready to embrace the challenges that come with the role.
As headteacher, you will be responsible for the quality of teaching and learning, the
internal organisation of the school and the management of all teaching and professional
support staff. Our ideal candidate will be an exemplary leader who will lead with
integrity. You will challenge and encourage but be open to receiving support and
challenge in return. You will be an individual who has high expectations and a track
record of success.
Richard Coates is a Church of England School so it is essential the post holder is
committed to the school’s Christian values of care, kindness and respect, will lead
collective worship and will ensure that a high-quality religious education curriculum is in
place.
The school is well supported by parents and the community so you must be a good
communicator and have the ability to forge strong relationships with pupils, parents,
staff, local schools and community networks.
